Criminal and DUI cases

IL v. E.P.            Lab results successfully excluded from being introduced into evidence at the DUI trial. Lab results showed presence of a controlled substance in the blood of the defendant. As a third time offender client was facing mandatory revocation of the driving privileges and jail time. Following a bench trial the verdict was not guilty.

IL. v. B.S.            DUI arrest following a car accident which resulted in personal injury and property damage to the vehicles. Client found Not guilty, following a bench trial.

IL. V. R.B.            Felony drug possession charges dismissed. DUI charges reduced to reckless driving. End result, no loss of driving privileges.       

IL v.  R.F.            Aggravated - Felony DUI case dismissed at preliminary hearing.

IL. v. J.G.            Driver found not guilty following trial for driving under the influence of alcohol.

IL. v. M.T.            Second time DUI offender found not guilty after a trial. Client is a truck driver who depends on his CDL license to make a living. End result, no loss of driving privileges.

IL. v. D.R.            Third time DUI offender charges reduced to Reckless Driving. Resulting in no loss of driving privileges.

IL v. S.A.            Cocaine possession charges dismissed at preliminary hearing. Finding of no probable cause.

IL v. C.C.         Crack Cocaine possession charges dismissed.

IL v. M.E.            Unlawful Use of a Weapon case dismissed.

IL v. B.M            Following a bench trial defendant was found not guilty of the battery charge.

IL v. M.N.         Petition to Rescind Statutory Summary Suspension granted.

Civil Cases.

L.H. v. J.M.            Buyers of a single-family residential home brought suit against sellers. Buyers alleged fraudulent misrepresentation of material fact and violation of disclosure as to the condition of the premises pursuant the Residential Disclosure Act. Plaintiffs alleged that sellers intentionally misrepresented to them the history of floods at the residency. Buyers sought in excess of $100,000.00 in compensatory damages from the sellers. First jury trial resulted in a hung jury, (11 to 1 in favor of the sellers). The second jury trial resulted in a unanimous jury verdict, (12-0) of not guilty.

In Re A.L.            Wrongful Death Case settled with insurance company for maximum policy limits. (Undisclosed amount).

R.S. v. K.S.            Auto accident-personal injury claim filed on behalf of Plaintiff. $75,000.00 settlement on behalf of the client.

K.C. v. K.A.            Pedestrian struck by a vehicle while crossing the street. $26,000.00 settlement on behalf of the client.

T.I. v. N.W            Insurance Company refused to compensate their insured’s, pursuant to the policy for the loss they sustained as a result of theft by a third-party. Claim paid in full after submission of bad faith, vexatious delay notice.

RB v. E.A. Following a jury trial client found not guilty of converting over $13,000.00 from her employer. Client admitted to the police of taking $100 per day for a period of seven months.
